Thank you!!! You have warmed my "partial Irish" heart!

Thank you for the suggestions on my give away!!! I am definately going to put one together! However, it will be a bit before I can get to it. I am a special education teacher and this is my busiest time of the year!!! I have been swamped! I haven't gotten to read any "Blog Hops" or anything lately!! I hope to grab some time this weekend and stitch and read...and stitch and read....

Before I get back to work I did want to share a simple but lovely St. Patrick's Day pattern by Agi. I love her patterns!!

Giving stuff away!!!

I would love....love...to have a giveaway on my blog. I cleaned out my stash and have a couple of cross stitch kits I would like to give to fellow stitchers. However, I only have 2 followers!!! Any ideas?

Pleading the 5th...

How many needles have you lost? Feel free to estimate. Tell us your best “lost needle” story ;)

I plead the 5th to this question!!! I have no idea how that needle ended up on the couch and in my husbands bottom! Just because I was sitting there doesn't mean it was my needle! It could have been anyone's needle! Maybe it was left there by the person who upholstered the couch or...or ..... the cat put it there! Oh, yes, we don't have a cat. Well, maybe we have elves who come in and sew things like in that folktale, you know!? Well, anything is possible!

There's a supplement for that

I know, I know....I haven't been around in a while! But...I am still running. Despite my age, knees and laziness I am keeping it up. I am on Week 4, Day 2! I can actually run (jog)  for 5 minutes straight...non-stop. Trust me....that is a miracle in itself!

I did want to share this article on MSN. Since I developed hypothyroidism, I have become more concious of more healthy alternatives to medication. I have to take supplements because of my thyroid issues. My body does not process vitamins and minerals as well so I have to give it more! Anyway, I thought this was a good little piece for some natural solutions for some of life's little "problems".

There's a supplement for that

She is off and running........

I am on Week 3, Day 2 of the Couch to 5K. I did not realize how out of shape I was until I got off the couch! I fancied myself as someone who exercised frequently and was in good shape despite my extra pounds until this! I mean, I actually went to the Y about 3 or 4 times a week....well, for the most part.....and lifted a few weights and got on that Crosstrainer thing! I really thought I was doing good and then.....I wanted to run! What in the world for I don't know. I swear, that first week I coul barely, and I mean barely, run for 30 seconds! I am not talking about full fledged running either! I mean a light jog! It was pitiful..and embarrassing! I had to do that week twice. Twice, mind you!!! Today, however, today....drum roll, please.....I actually ran 3 minutes non-stop!!! I am proud, so proud of me!!! Right now, I am feeling pretty good.....yes, pretty good! You should get off of your couch and join me!

Happy New Year!!!!

Happy New Year to all!!!! I hope it is a "stitchy" year for you all no matter what kind of needles you use!
Thank you to Agi for another great freebie! Here is the link to her great blog, "The World According to Agi".

Now on to "Blog Hop 2013"!!!
And the questions are......

What was your biggest stitching accomplishment in 2012?
What was your favorite stash acquisition in 2012 and will you be using it in 2013?

Sadly to say I finished nothing in 2012!!! It was a miracle in itself that I even stitched at all. Between family life, work and grad school, I didn't get much time to stitch. However, all was not lost! I did clean out my stitching box and get more organized! You would be suprised at all the floss I found and forgot I had! I also found some of my old, old cross stitch magazines. It was like getting them new again! I started two pieces and continued to work on (as I have for years) a large needlepoint piece. I can't say I added much to my stash, but finding those goodies deep in my cross stitch basket was like striking gold! I have several pieces I would like to do from those magazines, but I am going to try to narrow it down and get one started in the next few weeks.
